We are happy to encourage all readers in the Bay Area to find out more information about these excellent groups. The group is an especially good option if you still suffer from mood swings, or have questions about managing your meds (and their side effects), or wonder how best to talk with your family, friends, psychiatrist about bipolar disorder.LOCATION:

Some topics covered in Bipolar Disorder Group Sessions:
– Self Awareness and Mood Charting
– Medications: How to Get the Most (and Least) out of Your Meds
– Sleep Management
– Communication Skills and Stigma
– Coping with Depression and Problem-Solving

The group focuses on common challenges faced by individuals with bipolar disorder with an emphasis on learning specific information about bipolar disorder.  The style is supportive, while maintaining an atmosphere of mutual respect.

Fees: There is a fee for these sessions, although your mental health insurance may cover most or all of the expense involved.
