January 2013 Update

updateIt’s probably time for another update about this blog and where it’s heading.

Many of you may have noticed that the promised upgrade of our forum never happened.  As I noted previously this is because the project turned out to be much more complicated than I thought and the work that has already been done on it suggests that the total project might end up costing several hundred dollars.

The result is that for the moment the upgrade is on hold.  We were promised some significant improvements Bubbla and given how much it is looking like it will cost to create a really excellent forum on our own, we are probably going to wait to see what Bubbla comes up with. Apologies for that decision for those of you who really wanted us to move away from Bubbla.

Meanwhile, we have set up the first of what will be a series of interviews with experts. These will get posted as audio files and as a transcript on the new page — in the new section on this website.  We’ve also been hard at work on a bit of spring cleaning and organizing.  The list of keywords on the right of the web page are a nice start but don’t really capture the content in a way that makes it easy to sort through.  So we’ve had a young intern working on categorizing all of the articles and that will show up in some form in a revised navigation tool.

So, lots of work, but for the time being no new forum.

Please feel free to e-mail me with your thoughts, questions and concerns about this.
