Recently it seems that many people have been talking about the idea of gratitude as a practice that enhances psychological health.
I was intrigued to run across a recent post by Disorderly Chickadee (a woman with a WordPress blog about bipolar) on the topic of her gratitude journal and the reasons she has discovered for gratitude.
And then I started to notice that those people I ran into who seemed to be headed in the best and most positive directions in their lives all seemed to be aware of gratitude. And those who seemed to be the most stuck in unhappiness seemed focused on hurt and losses.
Could it be that the simple act of noticing things one can be grateful for can change our lives?
