Hello!

Hello! My name is Arnrow and I am very much excited to be the new summer intern at Gateway Psychiatric Services. I am an incoming junior pursuing psychology at the undergraduate level at Hofstra University in Long Island, New York. My first encounter with psychology was almost completely accidental, having just taken a psychology class in high school to simply receive credit. However, I instantly became passionate about the field, and thought it was an incredible platform to combine my interests of studying human behavior, and conducting research with my desire to help others achieve optimal health.

I wanted to work for Gateway Psychiatric Services because not only do they offer resources for individuals suffering from mood disorders, but they also provide a platform for people to establish community and support amongst one another. I thought that was really neat because it is important for people to know that they are not alone. No matter what they are going through, I want them to know they have people, going through similar struggles, who care about them.

I am thankful for the opportunity to combine my love of writing with psychology through these Moodsurfing blog posts. It is my hope to combine creative and interesting posts with helpful information on depression, and other mood disorders. I also love hearing from readers, so please feel free to comment on any of the posts that interest you, or have any questions on.
