Several members of this forum sent me an e-mail with a link to an article that appeared in the New York Times on lithium that was provocatively titled “Should We All Take a Bit of Lithium.” We ended up publishing a blog post on this topic on our Gateway Psychiatric website.
This might be a good opportunity to introduce readers to that website and blog.
As long time readers have noticed, we don’t talk much, or hardly at all, about medications on this blog. That is a deliberate choice.
There seem to be many sites of medications for moods. What we thought was missing were sites that talked about non-medication approaches to living creatively with moods.
When we revised the Gateway Psychiatric website (the website for our clinic for people with mood disorders) we added a blog. That is where we have started to put blog posts that have to do with medications, as well as information about what’s going on in the clinic. If you want to receive that information you can subscribe to those blog posts as well.
Although that might be a bit overwhelming in terms of the amount of information you will receive…
